The Wandering Traveler.

I believe I do owe you an introduction.  My name is Zhongli, I work as a consultant at the Wangshu Funeral Parlor in Liyue harbor. As grim as that may sound for my first impression, it's a fulfilling job. I have lived in this world for quite some time and have experienced death first hand, I lost my best friend to war, my colleagues and even rivals as well. So I understand what these people are going through.  That quite sums up my background, as for this blog well let's say it piqued me to keep track of all the places I've been and planning to go to.  This blog was only made possible because of a client of mine who calls himself Tartaglia. He comes far from Schnezhnaya to the harbor where I work to meet me personally. I took him around the harbor and he had introduced me to a traveler, Aether.  Aether told me about his journey, how he had come from Monsdstat to the harbor to find his sister. Whilst trying to locate the whereabouts of his dear sibling, he shows me pictures

The Contract to End All Contracts.

I've arrived safely in Liyue, greeted by Hu Tao bombarding me with questions about the trip.  To put it simply, I had lots of fun. I was rather worried that the activities Hu Tao had set up for me were going to be filled with nothing but one of her pranks, but it was to my surprise that she had actually made the itinerary align with my current state.  I was expecting something even a God won't be able to handle but it was nothing of the sort.  Canada despite not being able to join in the winterlude was rather peaceful, something I needed. Sure it wasn't as exhilarating as Aether's stories but at least I can remember them all without taking pictures; which Hu Tao scolded me for.  I have a sharp memory, I never forget. Having to work around contracts and all, it technically relies on me to remember all the terms and conditions of these papers -- To ensure the funeral parlor doesn't get cheated off or sued by  displeased customers.  On the other hand, it's rather p

I've arrived and settled in to my hotel, unfortunately I don't have quite much time. Hu Tao has made the itinerary so jam packed that I don't get any time for myself; I've missed the complimentary breakfast. At least for today, the other days she's prepared ahead seems just fine.  I'll share with you the itinerary she's prepared for me.  I'm rather touched by her generosity but it seems her ways won't ever change..  I believe this will be my last blog post as I will try to enjoy my trip as best as I can, farewell for now traveler.  - Vago Mundo

Poutine; a thought.

Image
Prior to landing, I decided to dig up on the country's most favored dish; Poutine. It's what the locals call a perfect 'drunk' food, which is a type of cuisine of which you consume when you are intoxicated. I on the other hand, am not that kind of person who indulges in such drinks that make you lose control over yourself, other than chamomile of course. I myself am a tea connoisseur, not an avid drunk unlike my friend back in Mond.  Poutine consists of sliced potatoes; wedged or jullienned which are then fried, topped with  bountiful brown sauce or more known as gravy and heaps of cheese curds. Some locals argue that not everyone can make proper Poutine despite it's lack of complexity though I guess that is what happens to the most simple things; you expect too much of it just because it's simple and assume everyone can flawlessly create it. I stumbled across a person who attempted to make poutine. I downloaded the video of course. Though I doubt the legitimacy

Canada; From The World In Our Hands.

As I am sitting on the plane right now, I started to wonder about what Canada has to offer, so I opened some of the notes I've digitalized before and wanted to share with you, fellow traveler. Canada is an interesting country, with the country having British, French, and even American influences, which sometimes compete in almost every aspect of the traditions celebrated there from the media we consume and to their cuisine and even the sporting events they celebrate. Some Canadian traditions that tourists always seem to be attracted to are celebrated on the east like Quebec, Ontario, and of course their capital; Ottawa happens around February, where they celebrate a tradition called 'Winterlude'. Run by the Department of Canadian Heritage, this event is one of Ottawa's tourist magnets, managing to attract hundreds of thousand of visitors each year. They mostly celebrate it around the same time every year; starting on the 5th of the second month and is said to end on the

It's late in the evening, but I have a plane to catch. I'm leaving for Canada today. I know it's quite sudden but it was a surprise for me as well. Whilst Hu Tao and I were enjoying our evening tea, she. out of the blue says that I need to go. Confused, I asked her what she meant. She then proceeded to show me her phone, one plane ticket to Canada.  I was flustered by her unending generosity.  "Because you overthink too much." She replies when I asked her why she had bought the ticket in advance.  Turns out she had already planned to send me to Canada as soon as I left her office when I asked her permission to take leave. That was rather sweet of her.  Anyways, I've packed the essentials and I will be in Canada in a few hours.  I'm not one to always be so spontaneous but Hu Tao had always been. I guess that's what keeps my life more interesting thanks to her.  I've packed what I can for such a short notice, I shall update more in a few hours.  - V

After meeting the peculiar two yesterday, it made me ponder back to a recent conversation I had with my boss at the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor; Hu Tao.  We were discussing about one of our clients whose husband had recently passed. One of her husband's wishes before he passed was to see what the world had to offer for him, and because he was always swamped with work, he never got the chance.  Hu Tao jokingly mentioned how the husband of our client reminded her of myself. It hasn't left my mind since, especially with what happened yesterday.  Around noon, I asked Hu Tao for a temporary leave and since she and I had grown so close over 20 years of working together, she permitted me to come back and work after my travels. She listed some countries I could visit on my journey and one piqued my interest; Canada.  "A winter wonderland." She scribbled on the paper next to a doodle of the country's flag.  I've never been to anywhere with snow, I would visit Tartaglia in
